2021 annual report available |
Following all the troubles of 2020, Philips Pensioenfonds ended 2021 in strong financial health. The funding ratio at year-end was an impressive 15 percentage points higher than when the year began. “It is unusual for the funding ratio to increase by so much.” In an interview in our magazine Generaties (in Dutch), Reinoud Mangelmans and Jasper Kemme of the Board of Trustees discuss this increase in the funding ratio, as well as various other topical issues from the reporting year. “We have been considering since 2021 how the pension fund’s policies, and therefore our members, will be impacted by the upcoming overhaul of the pension system. Normally speaking, our policies are geared toward the long term. With the introduction of a new pension system, however, we felt that we needed to deviate from some of the elements of our long-term policy, to make sure that all our members get off to a strong start under the new pension system.” Read the annual report, with an English summary on pages 211 - 217, to find out all about the developments in 2021. |
