Your future well arranged |
Tomorrow marks the start of the Pensioen3daagse, an annual 3-day event that is all about pensions. Across the country, the question will be asked: ‘Have you made proper arrangements for your future?’ To answer that question for yourself, you need to have the right information. So to help you, pension funds in the Netherlands have launched a collective website. You can visit www.pensioenfondsen.nl (in Dutch) to find out what arrangements have been made for your pension in the Netherlands. This newsletter highlights one of the topics in English: ‘Your pension benefits are more than you put in’. If you want to find out now whether you have ‘made proper arrangements for your future’, visit MijnPPF, our personalised online pension environment, to see what your pension situation is. You can also contact us if you have any questions, or join us at one of the locations we will be visiting during the Pensioen3daagse. Jasper Kemme Managing Director |

A new house? Check your pension! |
Are you moving any time soon? Remember to prepare for the future. What will the costs of your new home be by the time you retire? When your mortgage expires, will you have finished paying it off? Another thing to bear in mind is that we will generally be notified of your new address when you move, but not always. Find out more on our website. |

Perhaps you are aware that the legal rules for pensions are going to change. This means that the pension plan of Philips Pensioenfonds will also change within a few years. Our Pensions Director, Mike Pernot, has some information to share with you, based on three questions:
- What is the reason for the new pension rules?
- What will change, what will stay the same?
- How will this affect you?
Sign up now for the flash webinar on 21 November 2022. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the session. |

Recognition for preparations for the new pension rules |
For Philips Pensioenfonds, it is important to be properly prepared for the new pension rules. We started a year and a half ago, by mapping out how the new rules will affect our members. We are also looking at, for example, the implications for how our pensions are administered and how your pension savings are invested. We bring our influence to bear where necessary, and actively share our findings and solutions with others in the pensions sector. Earlier this month, our efforts were recognised when we received an award from PensioenPro. |

Did you know...? |
|
|
- your employer pays around 30% of your income (i.e. of the part on which you accrue pension) towards your pension?
- you pay a small portion of that yourself, from your salary?
- you can see on your pay slip how much you pay towards your pension?
- your pension will be worth more than the amount that you and your employer paid towards it?
- this is because Philips Pensioenfonds invests that money, including in equities (shares) and bonds?
- those investments increase the value of each euro by a factor of around 2.5?
- you can use the Pension Planner in MijnPPF to see how much pension you can accrue before you retire?
