Roadmap to your new pension |
The Pensioen3daagse starts today: a national three-day event that is all about pensions, to remind everyone that changes in your home or work situation often affect your pension too. Even without this event, however, pensions have been a topic of frequent conversation in recent months. Now that Parliament has adopted the Future of Pensions Act, we are gradually helping you to prepare for the changes that the pension system will undergo. You will be receiving information from the government and your employer as well. Together with the employers, we have put together a timeline to show what we are doing in the run-up to the new pension plan, and what to expect from us during each phase. Could my pension savings ever run out? This is a firm no. Even under the new system, you will still have a pension for as long as you live. You do not need to worry that you will not have any money left for your pension. Watch the video for an explanation by our Pensions Director Mike Pernot of how this works. |

"When can I set my retirement age?" |
— A question that Kaj of our Service Desk is frequently asked — |
As soon as you turn 58! |
If you are actively accruing a pension with us, and you have turned 58, you can start deciding at what age you want to retire. Your retirement age is your decision. How much pension you will have depends on when you retire, as well as other decisions that you make about your pension. You will need to inform Philips Pensioenfonds of your chosen retirement age at least six months before you want to start drawing your pension. If you need any help deciding, feel free to ask. If you are no longer actively accruing a pension with us, you can pass on your retirement age sooner. |
