Near the end of June we took an important step forward on the way to your new pension scheme: we made a final decision to carry out the pension scheme as agreed by the employers and employee organisations starting 1 January 2027. This is a key milestone. The resolutions have been recorded in an implementation plan and a communication plan. Those plans have been sent to the supervisory authorities to review them. The plans are available on our website if you want to read them. So does that mean that all the preparations are done? By no means! For me, however, this new milestone is the right time to pass the baton to my colleague on the Board, Anita Joosten, to succeed me as Managing Director of Philips Pensioenfonds on 1 September. Together with her colleagues on the Board of Trustees and at the Pension Fund Office, she will have the task of implementing the new pension scheme and preparing you for the switch. I wish the best of luck to Anita and to everyone involved. Lastly, I wish all our members a wonderful retirement, now or in the future, and a long life to enjoy it. |

Converting the accrued pensions |
On 1 January 2027, you will switch to the new pension scheme. That pension scheme will not only govern your future pension accrual, if you are still accruing a pension with Philips Pensioenfonds. All the pension entitlements that have already been accrued will also be converted to the new scheme. |

- You can see your Uniform Pension Overview in MijnPPF?
- That overview shows the value of your accrued pension at 1 January 2025?
- The overview also contains the following information about your pension:
- an indication of how much pension you will have if you keep accruing.
- how much pension you will have if you suffer a disability that renders you incapable of working.
- how much pension your partner and children will have in the event of your death.

“The disability pension on my Uniform Pension Overview has changed since last year. Why is that?” |
— A question that Kaj of our Service Desk is frequently asked — |
“Several aspects of the disability pension for members accruing a pension with us changed on 1 January 2025, to align better with the legal rules under the WIA, i.e. the Dutch Work and Income (Capacity for Work) Act. The changes do not apply to members already drawing a disability pension; they only apply to members who become entitled to one in the future. Every year, your Uniform Pension Overview provides an indication of how much pension you may expect from Philips Pensioenfonds, on top of the legal WIA benefits, if you suffer a disability that renders you incapable of working. |
For many of our members, the changes mean that their pension overview for 2025 shows a lower disability pension than the overview for 2024 did, particularly members working part-time and/or earning more than € 66,500. Visit our website for a summary of the changes that were made on 1 January 2025. If you prefer, you can also get in touch with us for a personal explanation.” |
